Contact usCompliance Tracker 365 is a SharePoint Online and Teams solution designed to ensure your important content is being seen and read by the right people. Trackers record that content has been read and they optionally display quizzes to allow readers to confirm their understanding. Built-in reports highlight who has and has not read targeted content.
Compliance Tracker 365 is for any organisation, big or small, which stores important content in SharePoint libraries as pages or documents. It can be deployed to any existing document or pages library to start to target content to the right people. For staff, they can easily see what’s relevant and needs to be read. For content managers, they can target content based on their terms. For people managers/compliance officers, they can be sure that important content is seen, read and understood.
Important pages and documents are tagged for mandatory or optional reading using business related terms. For example, ‘New Starter’ content would be tagged for mandatory reading using a ‘New Starter’ tag. User Profiles are created using the same tags which targets content to the relevant people.
User Profiles are created based on membership of AD security groups, distribution groups, M365 groups, AD Profile Properties or assigned individually by name. A Power Automate Solution is available to automate the management of profiles as people change roles.
Compliance Tracker 365 supports multiple tracker types to allow content Feedback for knowledge areas and the completion of Quizzes for training material. All targeted content is tracked for both Reads and Views providing quality data in compliance/usage reports.
Views are captured whenever a person visits a targeted page. These are useful to see who and how often content is being accessed. Reads are captured when a person acknowledges they have read and understood content. Reads are also used to track responses to Quizzes. See how to implement a Quiz solution or a knowledge area with Feedback in our hands on solution walkthroughs.
Absolutely. Reports provide detailed information around who and when content is viewed or read. This information is complementary to SharePoint’s inbuilt Analytics, however rather than reporting on all visits to a page, we only report on people the page is targeted to, showing when they first visited a page and confirmed that the content was read and understood.
Yes, but reports may get BIG. When targeting all content, we suggest applying an optional ‘All Staff’ tag to pages and assigning this tag to ‘All staff’ via a security or distribution group. The Hidden tracker can be used to track all page views to generate detailed access reports.
Yes, Compliance Tracker 365 supports guests accounts the same as standard users. Quizzes can also be targeted and tracked for guests, something you can’t do with standard Microsoft Forms.
Yes, you can target both documents and pages for reading. Documents must be opened from the ‘My Reads’ web part for reads and views to be recorded.
Compliance Tracker 365 supports localisation of the My Reads and the Tracker web parts. This allows the solution to be localised to specific languages or business terminology as needed.
Compliance Tracker 365 is licensed based on the number of people with profiles, the trackers used, and number of sites in a tenant with the app deployed. 1 site using basic tracker types = $1USD per person per month. All sites using basic tracker types OR 1 site using all tracker types = $2USD per person per month. All sites using all tracker types = $3USD per person per month. There is a minimum of 100 people per license.
Basic types include Hidden, Automatic and Read Trackers. Enhanced types include Feedback and Quiz Trackers.

No. Compliance Tracker 365 has been developed to be an Office 365 only solution.
No, all data is stored in the SharePoint site where Compliance Tracker 365 is deployed.
Yes, you can integrate Compliance Tracker 365 with the PnP Search web parts to display targeted content tags and read statuses within these web parts using our PnP Search Extension. Once configured, the read tags take care of themselves.
Each person can only have up to 75 terms assigned to use the PnP Search Extension. In practice, this should be more than enough as terms are associated to multiple document and pages e.g. ‘New starter’ and people are only associated with terms related to them.
The app can be deployed in minutes once you have access to a tenant administrator. For a trial, you can just install the app and configure the SharePoint API and Power Automate solution later.
